What this Network Information Means

This page shows the information visible when your request reaches this site's endpoint. It can help confirm whether your public IP changed, but no single field replaces a complete network diagnosis.

Public IP

Your public IP is the network address received by the destination website. Comparing it before and after connecting to a route can show whether traffic is leaving through the expected endpoint. Home, business, and accelerated connections may display different addresses.

Country or region

The location is based on GeoIP identification of the address range and does not represent the device's physical location. Databases update at different times, so route changes or address-range transfers may take time to appear.

ISP

The ISP field usually identifies the operator or network organization registered for the address range. It can help distinguish local access networks, data-center endpoints, and other network types, but the displayed name depends on the registration data returned by the endpoint.

Proxy detection

Proxy detection reflects only the result returned by the endpoint. Different data sources may classify the same address differently. “Not detected” does not mean every website will reach the same conclusion and should not be treated as the sole measure of privacy or security.

How to check for DNS Leaks

Your public IP and DNS resolution are separate checks. The GeoIP result on this page shows only public IP details and cannot directly list every DNS resolver currently used by the device.

Check your system DNS status

Open your system's network details to find the DNS servers used by the current connection. On Windows, check the network adapter details; on macOS, open the DNS settings for the network service; on Linux, check the current resolver status.

Compare again after connecting

Record the resolver information before connecting, then connect to the target route and check again. If DNS requests are still consistently sent to the original access network, the DNS path may not have changed with the connection policy. Check the client's DNS and split-routing settings.

Check browser-specific settings

Some browsers enable their own secure DNS settings, so the system configuration and the browser's actual resolution path may differ. Check the browser's network settings as well rather than relying only on the operating system page.
